MISSION STATEMENT
The After School Program is a
program which provides a safe and caring environment for the students
of Holy Apostles Catholic
School. It
gives the children of working parents/guardians an alternative to going
to
an empty house or to daycare.
STAFF
The After School Program staff
is responsible
for the day to day matters of the program such as attendance,
discipline,
snacks, planned activities, and dismissal of the children. Billing and
payment
is taken care of through the school office.
REGISTRATION
Before any child may attend the
After School Program, all registration forms must be complete. These
forms include the individual child registration form and the
Parental/Guardian Agreement Form (found at the end of this book). This
agreement states that the parents/guardians agree with the procedures
stated in this book.

The cost of the After School
Program per child is as follows:

There is a discount for a second
or third child of $1.00 per child per day.
LATE FEE
The After School Program closes
at 5:45 p.m. every school day. Please be considerate to our workers and
be on time as they have families to get home to. Sometimes unforeseen
emergencies occur. If this happens you must call the After School
Program at 639-3629 immediately. You will be charged a late fee
of $1.00 per minute. (Please make
sure that you have a “back up person” to pick up your child if you
happen to be running late).
STATEMENTS
Statements will be sent home in
the family envelope on a regular basis. If you would like to pay
weekly, please call the school office.
To use the After School Program
as a childcare tax deduction use the following tax ID number:
#39-2003836. Consult your tax advisor for eligibility for tax
deductions.
DISCIPLINE
The After School Program Staff
will post the Rules and Consequences that the students will be expected
to follow. If a student is continually disruptive, a staff member will
inform the parents/guardians of their child’s behavior. If the behavior
continues, the student will lose After School Program privileges.
EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS
The After School Program will
run on
the Early Dismissal Days during the 2007-2008 school year. Please refer
to
the school calendar in the family handbook. The After School Program
will not be open on the following days.

Christmas – December 23, 2008
Holy Thursday – April 9, 2009
DAILY SCHEDULE
The students will meet in the
cafeteria as soon as the school dismissal bell is sounded. There will
be time to work on homework and free playtime, which may include going
outside. A snack will be provided for students later in the day. The
After School Staff will supervise students during these times.
PICKING UP STUDENTS
Only those people listed on the
registration form will be allowed to pick up the children – NO
EXCEPTIONS. (You may edit this list anytime during the year.)
Picking up the
students from
After
School Program Session
Parents/guardians may pick up
their children by entering through the church door on Kellogg Street
side. This is the door to the east of the school main entrance.
Students attending After School will
use this entrance when going outside to the playground with a
supervisor.
EMERGENCIES
After School Staff will have
access to a cellular phone so parents/guardians may contact her in case
of emergencies. The phone number is 639-3629. If you are not able to
pick up your child/ren on time, please use this number not the school
office. The school office closes
at 3:30.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
If any weather conditions cause
the early dismissal of school or cancellation, there will be no After
School Program.
